Lorraine and Mike Hollstein moved to Georgia in 2001 from Princeton, New Jersey along with their daughter, Jennifer, and son, Michael. After dedicating over half of her life to the care and education of children and understanding the need for good quality child care, Lorraine became interested in having a child care center of her own. She and Mike began to research the opportunities available to them and decided that Sunbrook Academy was the right choice for them. Their experience was that the Sunbrook family was compassionate, caring and offered hands on experience in opening their school. They were pleased with the focus that Sunbrook had in not only quality child care, but education! They couldn’t wait to get started in providing this service to the community, so in February 2005, that is exactly what the Hollstein’s did….they opened their own Sunbrook Academy on Cedar Crest Road in Acworth, GA.

The Hollsteins are very active in the day to day operations of the school. However, it is Lorraine and her daughter Jennifer that spend their time interacting with the children, parents and staff. Lorraine has over 25 years of experience in child care and education, including Pre-K thru 4th grade. In high school, she would even volunteer to keep children just to be able to spend time with them! As a family, the Hollsteins believe that children are unique and offer so much to those who are willing to give them the attention. Being a Sunbrook owner is by far the most rewarding experience!

Mike and Lorraine enjoy spending time with family and friends and their dogs, Kellie and Vinnie. Other interests are travel, reading, music and antique automobile restoration.
